    Hi Team,
Drivers have the Xerox look and feel in some apps but not in the Apple’s apps (Preview, Safari,…).
    Is it normal ?
    Thank you

      Hi Pierre Olivier,
Thank you for reading the blog. If you have installed the product specific driver and should get the Xerox interface in most applications. You do not mention which printer you are using but the install instructions are pretty much the same for all the printers that support the Mac. Please see these instructions for installing the driver. Make sure you follow all the instructions to get the product specific driver and interface. If this does not help please consider contacting your local support centre.

        Hi Cheryl,
I’m having the same issues when installing the drivers for Mac OS 10.14 for the Xerox Altalink C8070 Printer. I am installing the latest drivers available (4.22.2) and I am still only seeing “Printer Features” and not the “Xerox Features” options. This is only in the Apple applications. Any suggestions?

          Hi Zeeyan,
Thanks for reading the blog. I really don’t have any suggestions, please search the Xerox Customer Forum, I know they have had some questions about Xerox features. Alternately you can contact your local support centre.

      Hi Steve,
Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. There is no driver update for the Phaser 6280 at this time. Please see the Mac Driver compatibility document. Please try the Mac 10.10 to see if it will work. If not please consider contacting your local support centre for further assistance.

    Hi Cheryl,
For Mac OS 10.14 is there a compatible print/scan driver for the 6180 MFP. I can print but not scan. If one is one the works, it would be helpful to know. Thanks

    Hello Xerox!

Please add compatible drivers for the 5500 laser printer for Mac Mojave. This printer is a workhorse and absolutely perfect for what we do, but I can’t take advantage of the many features the printer offers without the full driver.

P.S. Telling people to wait to upgrade their OS in the hopes that maybe you’ll have a driver at some point in the future is a bit audacious. If you publish a list of the Mojave drivers you are going to be releasing along with release dates, that message becomes a bit more helpful and users can plan accordingly. 🙂

      Hi Carla,
Thank you for reading the blog. The Phaser 5500 will not have a driver developed for the Mac Mojave as the printer is well over 15 years old and there is little demand for new drivers for that model. I understand that you still actively use your printer so I would suggest that you contact support or post a question on the Xerox Customer Support Forum for possible workarounds.

      Hi Christian,
Thanks for reading the blog. You can try to add the printer on macOS using the built-in “Generic Postscript PPD”. If that does not work for you please consider contacting your local support centre for additional assistance.

Are macOS 10.15 Catalina drivers coming soon?

    • Cheryl Otstott September 16, 2019 - Reply

      Hi Golan,
Thank you for reading the blog. Yes it is my understanding that drivers for the macOS 10.15 Catalina will be released shortly after the launch of the OS from Apple.

I am in need of drivers for Mac OS X 10.15 – the 10.15 update has rendered my printer useless and apple will not allow me to install the 10.14 driver to try to fix the problem. When can I expect an updated driver?

    • Cheryl Otstott March 19, 2020 - Reply

      Hi Janson,
Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. You do not mention which machine you are using so i can not check for a macOS 10.15 Catalina driver. You can check the compatibility document to see if your model machine has or will have a driver. You can also check with your local support centre.
