The Xerox DocuMate® 6710 Scanner is a new high volume scanner that can handle bunches of paper in batches of scans. The DocuMate 6710 can scan at speeds of 100 pages per minute. This type of high-speed scanner would be a good fit for companies and industries that handle lots of paper documents that they need electronically to store, revise and share. Industries such as legal offices handling briefs and discovery, medical records in healthcare or the testing and records for students in education would benefit from this type of scanner.
To accomplish these high volume scans the DocuMate 6710 includes and 300 sheet, (20 lb, 75-90 g/m² paper) automatic document feeder (ADF). Incorporating that ADF with the Visioneer’s OneTouch® with Acuity lets you define the steps the scan will go through from scanning to integration with the destination. You can define up to 90 different jobs and start them directly from the control panel of the scanner. The driver supports multiple scanners connected to the same PC. You can run several scanners at the same time, or scan on one while setting up another this will multiply the number of pages scanned per hour.
