Xerox Community Support Forum Look At Us Now!

The Xerox Community Support Forum has a new look. This is not a costume just for Halloween nor is it a trick. The new look launched at the end of September 2017. The Support Community site is brighter and easier to read and search. We hope you enjoy the new look. Be assured that no information was lost in the changeover to the new style.

One of the features we wanted to highlight on this new format is the search feature. The search has moved up making it easier to find. Searching on the forum will bring you answers to your issue frequently. Always consider searching first before you post, you may find the answer without ever having to post a question. In your search results you will see some items with a green check mark next to them. The green check mark means that a solution has been accepted on that post.

If the search results do not have a green check mark please review them anyway, it may just mean that no one has marked the case as solved by clicking on the Accept as Solution button. If you find a solution that is not yet marked please make sure you select the Accept as Solution button so others can find the solution too.

On the right hand side of the new page you will find links similar to the ones you were used to but some things have been added. The Helpful Resources section will take you other useful support sites and to sites with the information about the Xerox Support Forum processes and procedures. The Video Spotlight will show you an example of the videos we have available on the Xerox Support YouTube site and on the Xerox Support pages.

We hope you like the new look for the page. If you have a suggestion for other improvements leave a comment on this blog or go to the “Community Suggestion “ board and tell us what you would like to see on the Forum. A few more tweaks may occur but this is the format we will use in the foreseeable future. Thanks for making the Support Community such a success we couldn’t do it without you!

I have a Xerox xrx-24S heavy duty shredder for a number of years now.

It’s making a lot of noise that is discussed here:

I just wasted a lot of time talking with Xerox tech support (877) 979-8498, trying to find a manual and/or repair docs.

They said they don’t have anything.

I mentioned that this is XEROX, a company making billions offering document archiving solutions, and SOMEWHERE in THEIR archives are the customer and repair manuals for every product they ever made.

All I was asking for was someone to initiate a search in their archives for it. Not find it today, just contact someone in Xerox archives to look for it.

Then he said they don’t service it anymore and “don’t have any documents for it, and if they did they wouldn’t share it”

So I asked if they don’t service it then what is the problem sharing the manual and/or repair documents.

‘call 800-ASK XEROX and maybe they could direct you somewhere.”

I get a woman who only talks copiers, and couldn’t even tell me where Xerox corporate contact info could be found…

    Very disappointed so far.

      Hi JF,
Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. The archives are stored at the Gil Hatch Center. Ray Brewer ( manages the archives. Additionally you can also check with the Customer Relations help desk. I hope they are able to help you find what you need.

Does Xerox make paper shredder’s any more I see them being sold. I have one that is a cross cut and the plastic gear on one of the shredder is worn smooth. all the other gears are metal I love it and I know I could repair it if I could get that gear. It was very well made.

      Hi Gary,
Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. Xerox no longer makes paper shredders. I am not aware of any source of parts at this time but I would suggest contacting our Customer Relations Help Desk Call 1-877-979-8498 Mon.-Fri. 8am-8pm ET to see if they have any information.

I just purchase a Xerox 6515DN WorkCentre Multifunction printer. When I send a print job the printer does not print the document. Wi-Fi is connected, but not printing. I even start the whole process from the beginning 2-3 times already, but no luck.

The reason I brought this printer due to multifunction it has and the capability to print using Wi-Fi without a USB attached. I really miss my HP printer now, due to this issue with the Xerox printer.

I just installed Versalink C7030 and they have not printed more than 150 pages and the
system keeps stopping and printing jobs because the memory is full?

I have this system in higher end accounts and this never occur. Do you know what this
    is happening?

      Hi Carol,
Thanks for reading the blog. Make sure you have deleted any stored documents that you do not need. If you are printing a PDF please try using the print as image setting and see if that will help. As a last resort you can reset the printer but you will lose all your settings and be starting as though it was a new machine. To reset the printer to factory defaults: 1. At the printer control panel, press the Home button. 2.Touch Device→Resets→Reset to Factory Defaults. 3. At the prompt, touch Reset. 4.When the process is complete, the printer restarts automatically.
If this does not help please consider contacting your local support centre.
