Xerox Paper and Specialty Media

Papyrus, parchment, media it’s all paper, by any name it is important to your printer and your print jobs.  The variety of available media or paper has expanded and many options are available.  The paper you use depends on several factors from the type of job you are printing to the type of printer you are using. There is a Paper and Specialty Media website that features most things paper and media.  I want to share this site because it has a lot of information on all the different types of paper and media that you can use in your Xerox Printer or Multifunction printer.

The site includes videos about the different types of media as well as information on ordering paper, and a simple system of drop down menus to help you find the right paper for your job.  The resources tab on the site includes templates for use with different specialty media as well as a link to some of the recommended media lists.  Everything from recycled paper, to glossy paper to labels and tabs are available for use in your machine.  Also you can request free samples of the media so that you can take a look at them before you purchase.

Our printers and multifunction machines work with many types, weights and finishes of media.  Each machine has a recommended media list that can be accessed from the support page for your machine.  As an example, please take a look at the Recommended Media List for the WorkCentre 6505.

Did you know we even have a paper that is tear proof, waterproof and cleanable without laminating? This synthetic paper made from a polyester film is tear, water and chemical resistant. The film has a special two-sided coated matte finish and a paper-like appearance. Check out the brochure to see the properties and possibilities for use of the no tear paper.

Who knew there were so many types of paper and media?
