I know Auditron sounds like a title for a summer blockbuster movie but actually it is a blockbuster feature on your machine that can protect your machine from unauthorized use and track usage. Auditron also referred to as Internal Accounting or Xerox Standard Accounting, not nearly as catchy a title for a movie, allow you to restrict the type and amount of access users have to the machine. You can set up the auditron to give your users copy, print, scan, and / or, fax usage limits (if these features are available and enabled on your machine). Or if you have a Color machine you can limit their use of color. The restriction capabilities are varied and also vary by machine.
The auditron is also great for tracking usage of the machine by individual or by department. Tracking can be helpful to identify usage trends and for bill back to departments or users at the end of the month or quarter. These are just some of the potential uses. There are so many possibilities for using the feature to control the use of the machine and its supplies.
