Yes, Xerox Has Online Support

Seriously?!?  It makes me crazy to find out that many people still do not know that Xerox has Online support for our full line of printers and multifunction devices.  It is an amazing resource that is a simple click away.  There is so much information on the support sites.  The information is free to you and available 24 hours a day 365 or 366 days a year (leap year this year).  You can explore the information at your leisure or find an answer when you are in a panic.

There are 3 or 4 tabs of available information on the support page for each product.  The first tab is support which has a search so that you can find the answers you need.  There are how tos and troubleshooting information included.  There are also frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the support tab.

The next tab is the Drivers and Downloads.  This tab has all the most current drivers, firmware, software and patches (if required) for your machine. The next tab is documentation.  This tab has all the manuals and installation documents for the machine and its components.

The fourth tab that may or not be available depending on your machine is videos.  This will be instructional and troubleshooting videos for your machine.  The videos are available on the United States site and are only in English.  There may be some videos available on other country sites if they do not involve verbal instructions.  The videos are approximately 2 minutes in length.

That is a lot of information at your fingertips to help you operate and use your machine efficiently. Please take a moment to look at and bookmark the support pages for the products you have, use or manage.  The pages will help you out.

If you are unable to find your answer at the Online support site then we do offer phone support please check the contact us site to find the correct phone number(s) for your local support centre.

Twice I spoke with customer service agents on the phone and twice they could not give me a solid answer. We recently updated our OS on our Mac to 10.8.1, our DC 425 ST is not responding to the new OS. Our office is centered around the scanning and printing of documents, however, because there are no new drivers to accomodate 10.8.1 we cannot use the machine, or conduct our business the way we need to. Is there any chance of a new driver or any possible third party or work around solution you may know of?

Hi KMistretta,
Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. Unfortunately there will not be a new driver for the DC 425 ST. Please consider contacting support for possible workarounds.
Thanks,

Well I am having difficulty finding what I want – I have been going round in circles!
I want to install a 2400 scanner but I no longer have the disc, so am looking for a driver I believe?
It may be that this printer is no longer supported – otherwise can anyone help please?

Hi Val,
Thanks for reading the At Your Service blog. I need a little more information to see if we can get you up and running. What country are you in? Also is there any other words or numbers in the name of your machine for instance Docutech 2400 or Phaser 2400? Please let me know and we will go from there.
Thanks,
CherylO-Xerox

Hi Val,
After further research I think we found what you needed. You can find the driver and installation instructions on the Xerox 2400 page. I hope this is the information you were looking for.
Thanks,
CherylO-Xerox

I am trying to print to a work center 7345 printer. All my printouts are coming out blank. Others can print just fine. I went through the printer preferences and I don’t see any thing that’s abnormal. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi Youcef,
Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. Please consider uninstalling and reinstalling the driver on your computer. If that does not help then you will need to contact your local support centre to see if they have any suggestions on what could be wrong in the printer set-up on your PC.
Thanks,
CherylO-Xerox

How do I send a fax using our new Xerox 5735, there are no directions in our manual. Please e-mail me a booklet on all the features and how to use them. Thank you, Shirley Kikelhan – MRC

Hi Shirley,
Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. The quick answer to your question is to follow the instructions to How to Send a Fax from the online support for your machine. The instruction for all the fax features and how to use them are in the User Guide. There is also a video to show you how to fax. I hope this helps, if you need additional assistance please consider contacting your local support centre.
Thanks,
CherylO-Xerox

Hi Tina,
Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. I apologize for the issues we were having yesterday (10-2-2012) with our drivers site. Those issues have now been resolved and you should be able to access the drivers now. There is no alternate way to access the drivers site, but you can always contact your local support centre for help and further information.
Thanks,
CherylO-Xerox
